‘Industrial Idyll #2’ has been shortlisted for the 2025 Burnie Print Prize. The exhibition of finalists will be held at the Burnie Regional Art Gallery from Friday March 14 until Saturday May 17.

I have had over 40 years of experience as a professional artist in Australia and Italy working in the media of serigraphy, painting, collage, ceramic and relief printmaking. From 2012 I have concentrated entirely on linocut. I feel that linocut, whilst a simple and direct printmaking technique, offers endless aesthetic possibilities. It has a robust physicality and despite the considered nature of printmaking the results for me appear spontaneous and immediate.

‘Chokindust Lane / Altar’ has been shortlisted for the 2025 Northern Beaches Library Artists’ Book Awards. The finalists’ exhibition will be held at the Manly Library from April 5 until April 27.

I was honoured to have ‘Omens’ chosen the winner in the experimentation with form category at the 2024 Firestation Artist Book Prize.
Acquisition of ‘Industrial Idyll’ suite.
The State Library Victoria has acquired my ‘Industrial Idyll’ suite of 4 artists’ books. The books originated with my fascination with the industrial foreshore at Corio, Geelong & expanded to encompass industrial ports in general after a trip to Newcastle.

The exhibition features 7 of my artists’ books along with unique state prints that take images from the books & offer expanded interpretations.
‘Whereabouts’ at the Art Gallery of Ballarat
‘Whereabouts:Printmakers Respond’, curated by Rona Green, is showing at the Art Gallery of Ballarat over summer 2023 / 2024. The exhibition features Victorian printmakers responding to where they live & work. I’m represented by my linocut ‘Airshow Over Corio Foreshore’.
‘Corio Idyll #5’ shortlisted for the Firestation Monoprint Prize.
My monotype ‘Corio Idyll #5’ is a finalist in the 2023 Firestation Print Studio Australian Monoprint Prize. The exhibition of the finalists will run from September 20 until October 21.
Shortlisted for both the Fremantle & Geelong print prizes.
It’s been a great year so far, being shortlisted for both the Fremantle & Geelong print prizes. Both are self portraits & were started in 2016 & completed this year with hand coloured pencil.

My hand coloured linocut ‘The Last Great Industrial Heartland’ has been shortlisted for the 2023 Burnie Print Prize. The exhibition of the selected prints will run from July 21 until September 8 at the Burnie Museum & Gallery, Burnie, Tasmania.
