Veolia Creative Arts Scholarship

IMG_4655I was fortunate to be one of the 3 members of the Southern Highlands Printmakers to receive a Creative Arts Scholarship from the Veolia Mulwaree Trust. The $1000 grant will be used to help finance my upcoming solo show at Megalo.

I have had over 40 years of experience as a professional artist in Australia and Italy working in the media of serigraphy, painting, collage, ceramic and relief printmaking. From 2012 I have concentrated entirely on linocut. I feel that linocut, whilst a simple and direct printmaking technique, offers endless aesthetic possibilities. It has a robust physicality and despite the considered nature of printmaking the results for me appear spontaneous and immediate.
